The Bachata Bootcamp agenda includes:


02:00 PM - 03:00 PM

Intro to Bachata ( Dominican, Modern & Sensual Fundamentals)

Teacher: Jason Ramos

Learn the fundamentals of the three main styles of Bachata. Content includes timing, rhythm, footwork, body movement, culture, history, musical context and partner awareness.


03:00 PM - 04:00 PM

Bachata Styling ( Traditional, Modern & Sensual Fusion)

Teacher: Amanda Duvall

Learn arm styling, footwork and body movement drills focused on developing fluidity, musicality and dynamic range. Content will be incorporated into a musical choreography for practice.


04:00 PM - 05:00 PM
Bachata Sensual Partnerwork (Intermediate)

Teacher: Amanda Duvall & Jason Ramos

Learn lead and follow concepts focused on key Bachata Sensual movements. BFocus will be on body rolls, windmills, body waves, spot spins, paneling, counter weighting, level changes, manipulations, cambrs and checks. Content will be incorporated into a musical sequence for practice. Strong bachata fundamentals recommended. Not for beginners or first timers.

Bachata Dance Social

DJ: Baila Con Gusto

Included with all admission options. Practice what you learned in class with focused supervision, mentoring and dancing with classmates, and Jason Ramos & Amanda Duvall.



Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks, and change of clothes. Beverages and snacks will be available.

You will receive top notch friendly service and instruction from dedicated professionals in a focused and fun envorinment.

Jason has several years of performance and teaching experience.

Some of his past collaborations include Night Fall, Ballet Theatre Company, Hartford Stage, Justice Dance Performance Project, The Yale Schwarzman Center, Dirk Heidemman Ballroom Dance Studio, Orquesta Afinke, Latin Heartbeat Orchestra, Riverfront Dance Festival, and The International Festival of Arts and Ideas.


Want to join the bootcamp but may come late?


That's okay! Sometimes time flies by when you're busy living life. Join the class that is most convenient for you.

Bundling is recommended for best experience, but all guests can pay for individual classes in person.

If you prepaid, just present receipt on your phone and you are all set!
The dance instructor/ host can accommodate and include all guests as they arrive.

This event is meant for adults looking for a fun and friendly space to explore bachata dance.
Throughout the event there will be opportunities to ask questions, get hands on assistance, and also make some new friends also focused on trasnforming their bachata dancing!
